School Visit
I had a wonderful author visit at PaCe Modern School, Dubai. It was fantastic meeting over 500
elementary students in collaboration with Alpha Bookstore as part of their book fair! A brilliant
day filled with movement, singing, dancing, big smiles, and happy group photos at the end
(which I was delighted to indulge in!). P.S. The bouquet was such a lovely thought.
Al Qurm Charter School Abu Dhabi
Eco Club Sustainability Challenge
My visit to Al Gurm Charter School was a celebration of environmental leadership in motion. I
met the passionate members of the Eco Club — students who are curious, outspoken, and
motivated to protect the planet.
We explored real sustainability challenges and then put knowledge into action through a
team-based competition. Students were tasked with:
1. researching an environmental issue
2. designing a poster or campaign concept
3. pitching their ideas in a short presentation
Every team delivered creativity, clarity, and critical thinking. After a lively round of presentations,
the boys’ team won, impressing everyone with a compelling poster and confident delivery.
More than competition, what stood out was commitment — these students are learning to
advocate, lead, and challenge the status quo. The future looks bright.
Al Riyadh Charter School Abu Dhabi
Interactive Sustainability Workshop
My sustainability workshop at Al Riyadh Charter School in Abu Dhabi was all about hands-on
environmental learning and student leadership.
Together, we broke down what sustainability means in daily life — from waste reduction and
water use to biodiversity and conservation. Students moved from awareness to action by
designing mini eco-solutions and thinking like problem-solvers.
The engagement was high, the questions were bold, and the commitment was clear — these
young learners aren’t waiting to be grown-ups before making a difference. They are ready now.
A powerful afternoon of thinking green, speaking up, and imagining a better planet.
World Book Day Immersive Author Visit
World Book Day at Brighton College Dubai was an energising celebration of storytelling at its
finest. I hosted an immersive author session filled with imagination, character voices, laughter,
and curious minds.
The children arrived in full costume, embodying their favourite book characters with confidence
and charm — honestly some of the cutest outfits I’ve ever seen!
What I loved most was how deeply the school’s motto, Curiosity, showed up in the room.
Students asked thoughtful questions, leaned into the narrative, and weren’t afraid to wonder
aloud. The staff were just as supportive, ensuring every child felt free to imagine, discuss, and
play
It was a joyful day that reminded us how reading unlocks confidence and creativity — and
Brighton’s young readers certainly proved it.
Bloomington Academy (Author Visit)
Author Visit
I had the pleasure of visiting Bloomington Academy on Thursday, 13th November 2025 for an author visit — and I was completely blown away.
The school has a powerful culture of promoting literacy, reading, and writing — so much so that they have over 20 young authors who have already published their own books. That level of ambition, creativity, and follow-through is extraordinary. 📚✨
As someone who believes deeply in moving learning from the abstract and theoretical into practical, real-world application, Bloomington Academy modelled exactly that. As an author, it brought me great joy to interact with their learners. Their curiosity, thoughtful questions, and creativity made the experience truly rewarding.
A big thank you to Bloomington Academy and Alpha Bookstore for the warm hospitality. After the session and pictures , I recieved a lovely thank you plaque which I know have displayed on my bookshelf.
If your school would like to book an author visit, a creative writing workshop, or a sustainability session, feel free to reach out — I’d be happy to bring an engaging learning experience to your students. See link about the visit on their school website
GEMS Winchester School (Climate Change Workshop)
Climate Change Workshop
I had an incredible time at GEMS Winchester School delivering a Climate Change &
Sustainability Workshop! 🌍✨
The students were curious, engaged, and worked brilliantly in groups. We explored the causes
and effects of climate change, unpacked carbon footprints, and discussed the cumulative impact
of everyday habits like single-use plastics.
Their enthusiasm was inspiring — and they created some of the best posters I’ve seen in a long
time! 🎨💡
Thank you, GEMS Winchester, for such a warm and energetic session.
