Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival – Author Visit & Panelist Experience

I had the great pleasure of being invited to the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival to conduct a storytelling session and to participate as an esteemed panelist—an experience that was both inspiring and deeply rewarding. My storytelling session began at 2:00 PM and welcomed a wonderful group of enthusiastic young readers. We started our journey with Barki and the Forest, bringing the story to life through interactive music and movement before settling into an engaging storytime. The children’s energy and curiosity filled the room, making the session lively and memorable. We concluded with a question-and-answer segment, where the children asked thoughtful questions—and I, in turn, enjoyed asking them a few of my own. The session was hosted in the Authors’ Lounge, a beautifully designed space with a futuristic purple aesthetic that created an inviting and imaginative atmosphere for both children and storytellers alike. The following day, I had the honor of joining a panel discussion focused on climate change and how it is taught to young audiences. The conversation was educational and enriching, and it remains firmly etched in my mind. It was a privilege to share why I am passionate about my work, while also learning from fellow panelists who brought valuable perspectives to the discussion. The festival also provided wonderful networking opportunities, allowing meaningful connections with educators, authors, and creatives. Shortly after the panel, I was invited by the media team for an interview—an exciting way to conclude an already unforgettable experience. If you would like to book my storytelling sessions, author visits, or panel participation for your school or event, please feel free to get in touch. I would be delighted to hear from you
